The Reed's
Well, I'm not sure where to start. I'm new at this whole blogging thing. Shaun and I have been married for three years. We have a daughter, Emma, she will be one on Friday. I just found out a week ago that I am pregnant with baby number two! I went to the doctor for a pain in my side, I just figured I had an ovarian cyst. So, they decide to go ahead and do a routine pregnacy test. The medical assistant drops the "liquid" on the test and reads it immediately. She says, "It appears to be negative." And leaves the room. The doctor walks in, asks me if I was trying to get pregant. I said,"We weren't trying, but we weren't doing anything to prevent a pregnancy." Then, she said You are pregnant! I was shocked. But, the girl just said it was negative! Well, she didn't wait the four minutes to read the test! Then, still in shock they send me STAT for blood work and an ultrasound to rule out an ectopic pregnancy, which needless to say, scared the crap out of me! One long day later, we found out that it wasn't ectopic, but I did have two large cysts on both ovaries. Lovely! And that I was about 5 weeks along. Then, on Friday I wake up bleeding! I was so scared, I thought for sure I was miscarrying! But, four and a half hours and many uncomfortable tests later I found out that everything was ok. Man, what a week!
