Disney Trip, Day Two

Our first day at Disneyland/California Adventure was so fun.  Emma rode on Papa's lap and Spencer rode on Grandma's lap.  We took the kids on quite a few rides.  They were a bit scared at first.  But, started to get less scared.  Emma even rode on Big Thunder Railroad!  Riley was even able to go on a few rides.

Grandma set up reservations at Ariel's Grotto.  A restaurant where some of the Disney Princesses come to your table and take pictures with you.  The food was yummy.  And Emma was in heaven!

After lunch we went for more Disneyland fun!  Toontown and more rides!

We all had so much fun and were ready to have more fun the next day!

Disney Trip, Day One

We left for a mini vacation to California on Wednesday night.  Our first day was spent hanging in the pool and hot tub, having a fun dinner with my grandparents and looking at some of the stores in Downtown Disney.  We went to a place called Goofy's kitchen for dinner.  It was a really cute place.  Some of the Disney characters come to your table and pose for pictures and say hello.  Emma and Spencer weren't too sure about them at first, but eventually warmed up to them.  Riley just stared at them and smiled.  Most of the characters could not resist touching Riley's crazy hair.

What Would You Do??

If you know me at all, you know that I suffer from headaches and migraines on a daily basis.  It is absolute misery!!  Since I'm breastfeeding I am at a standstill with any treatments.  I spoke with my Pediatrician today.  He suggested that I stop breastfeeding and take care of myself.  He said that Riley has gotten the benefits of breastfeeding for the last 6 1/2 months and I should just start giving him formula.  Noooooo!!  Also, if you know me at all, you know that I do not like giving my babies formula.  I pride myself in the fact that Riley has never had a drop of formula.  And I would like it to stay that way!  What would you do if you were me??  Suffer through it for the next 6 months or call 6 1/2 months a success and get treatment?  I don't know what to do!!  This sweet face deserves to have breastmilk for at least a year!!  AHHH!

Grandpa's House

We went to Grandpa Kevin's house this weekend.  A little swimming for the kids and some time spent with their cousins: Wyatt and Jane before they move back to Idaho.  :(  As always, we had a great time and had some cake and ice cream for Grandpa's birthday

This picture of Emma cracks me up!!  She was dancing around in her silly glasses!  Her face is priceless!!

Playroom

If you have ever been to our house, you have seen our playroom.  It is a big room, overflowing with toys.  I love this room!  It is where the kids spent most of their days during the summer.  It is the most perfect place for them.  Since Riley started sitting and crawling a few weeks ago, he has joined the kids in this room.  They play for hours.  And sometimes they even fall asleep while they are playing!  Oh, how I love our playroom!!

Emma Got a Haircut!!

I have been wanting to cut Emma's hair short for a VERY long time.  She has VERY thin hair.  And I was thinking that if it was shorter, it would look thicker.  Her hair was really long.  Down to the middle of her back.
I love it!  She looks adorable!!

Half a Year??!!

Riley turned six months old last week.  How did this happen?!  He is getting old too fast!  He had his six month well-check and he is still tall and super skinny.
Height: 27.5 inches tall   85th percentile
Weight: 14.2 lbs   5th percentile

I asked the doctor if I should try to do anything differently to get him to gain more weight.  He said no.  As long as he is growing, he is fine.  My third child and I still don't get a chubby one.  : (  Dr. Kleiner said it's just not in the cards.  My kids are tall and skinny.  The only chance of a maybe having a chubby baby is to not breastfeed and give them formula.  Which is not going to happen.  : )
Riley at six months:
Has one, almost two teeth.
Can sit up by himself for a bit.
Can army crawl.
HATES teething.
LOVES baby food and nursing.
LOVES his mama.
Can wave bye-bye.
Chews on anything.
Drools like crazy.
I swear he said, "Hi."
Babbles, a lot and likes to scream.
