Spencer Has Arrived!!

Well, Spencer is here. So, here is the story... I went on Wednesday to try and have him turned. Unfortunately, that didn't work. The next night around 7:30 I started having contractions. I timed them for the next two hours and they were coming every 4-5 minutes. I called my dr's office and they said I should go to the hospital. I got to the hospital around 10:30 and got hooked up to the monitors. A half an hour later the nurse comes back and says we are gonna have a baby at midnight. I was shocked, that was just an hour away. So, we go up to labor and delivery and they prep me for surgery.
I asked the dr if it was ok if I watched the surgery. She said she has never had anyone ask to watch before, but sure. So, she left the drape really low and I watched in the mirror that was on the wall. It was pretty cool to watch the surgery done on me. It didn't seem like it was my body.

And if anyone is curious below is my uterus:

Spencer ended up being a little over two weeks early. He weighed 7 lbs 12 oz and was 20 1/2 in. long. He looks just like his daddy. He is so perfect! I had to stay in the hospital for 4 days, which felt like an eternity. Emma and Shaun came to visit everyday. I missed them both so much.

The thing that sucks the most about the surgery is needing so much help! I can't lift Emma and Shaun, or someone has to help to do anything that has to do with her. I hate it! I want to be able to do everything. But, I'm trying to let go and accept the help and sometimes even ask for it.

Spencer had his first dr visit today. He weighed 7 lbs 13 3/4 oz. The dr said he is perfect. We feel so blessed to have two healthy, perfect children! I can't believe how much I love my growing family!

Wow! Congratulations! He is beautiful. And truthfully I think the uterus pic is really cool. I think I would have wanted to watch too. Not the initial cutting me open part but it would be cool to see the rest. Congrats again!

Congrats on the new baby. We are very excited for you guys.

I almost passed out when they gave Aubrey an IV. There is no way I could have watched the actual c-section.

... the uterus picture kinda creeped me out too.
