Well, Spencer is 3 weeks old now (at midnight and 29 minutes) and I'm happy to say that he is still alive. Not because of any health problems, but because of his big sister. I'm not sure if she is intentionally trying to hurt him or if she just doesn't understand that he is a person that she can hurt. She loves to give him kisses (on the mouth only) and when she does she leans on his ribs with all of her weight. She likes to rub, poke and smack his soft spot. I'm scared to put him down. It seems there isn't a safe place to put him. I will put him in the crib while I go to the restroom, only to find her poking his eyes through the slats in the crib. For now I bring Emma with me into the restroom or kitchen or wherever I go. So, this has been the hardest part about having two kids.
And so far Spencer has been a pretty easy baby. All he does is sleep. He wakes up once or twice at night. Sometimes I have wake him up, since I feel like I'm going to EXPLODE! I have heard him cry once since we left the hospital. So far, so good. Hopefully he will stay an easygoing little guy. And make life easy for me.
