Four Years.....Already

Today is our 4 year wedding anniversary. I can't believe it's already been 4 years! We actually have 2 anniversaries. March 12th, when we got married and April 29th, when we were sealed for time and eternity. I am a convert to the church and we got engaged before I was a member of the church for a year. Neither one of us could wait until then to get married, so we got married in our singles ward building and then got sealed a year later.(some random pictures from our wedding day)

I never knew that I could love someone so much! Shaun is the funniest person I have ever met. He makes me laugh and smile everyday! Sure, we have had disagreements and financial hardships, but we love each other so much and would do anything for one another. Everything always seems to work out and we are so blessed. I'm so happy and excited that we get to spend eternity together!!

Everyone is always curious about engagement stories. And ours is super cheesy!! It was December 22, 2004. I just knew I was going to get that ring I wanted so badly. Shaun told me were going to drive to Mesa and go to the visitor's center at the temple. But, first we were going to stop at the park across the street and exchange Christmas gifts. I knew it, he is going to propose! So, we get out our gifts and he hands me this HUGE box. I'm thinking this box is to big for a ring. :( I starting unwrapping and there is another box and another box and another. I open a bunch of boxes until I get down to a small CELL PHONE box! Oh, great a new cell phone. (he told me I said that out loud! How embarassing, I meant to say that in my head) Crushed, I open the box and inside is an even smaller box. I open the box to find the ring I have been waiting for. With tears in my eyes, I turn to Shaun, who is now on his knees. And he says the words I have been waiting for, "Heather, will you marry me?" Of course!! Yay!! And that is how we got engaged. Long story!!!

Four years later we have two beautiful children and lots of memories. I can't wait for countless years of more memories! I love you Shaun Reed!!
