What He's Up to...

I haven't done any updates on Riley lately.  He has been up to TONS of stuff.  He started crawling, sitting, clapping and waving at 6 months.  And he got his 1st tooth.  He started giving high fives, standing by himself, cruising, and he even took his 1st two steps at seven months.  He also got his 2nd tooth at seven months.  He just turned eight months.  So far he can stand up with using anything, he has started climbing and is really trying to walk.  He always seems to have a bruise or scab on his face.  He is pretty much fearless, which is scary.  He is also getting his 3rd tooth.  He got his frenulum (the thing under his tongue) cut a couple days ago.  He is doing great.  He screamed and threw a fit while they did it, but was perfectly fine as soon as they were done.  He has said a few words.  Hi, Mama, Dada and Emma.  He loves to give his mama hugs and kisses.  He had his first illness at seven months, the croup.  We had a rough couple weeks.  Every person in our house getting sick one after the other.  But, it seems like we are just about over the sickness...for now.  He is the biggest mama's boy!  Which I love and don't love at the same time.  He is very busy and happy.  He has the best smile and laugh.  I have started to nurse him less.  He still LOVES to nurse, so it's been difficult.  Every doctor that I talk to tells me to stop nursing and take care of all of my health concerns.  So, I'm slowing weaning him.  He isn't really gagging anymore when I give him a bottle.  So, that's good.  :)  Riley is such an awesome addition to our family!
