One Year, Already!!

Well, it happened...Riley turned one.  We had a big, birthday bash at our house.  Since we call him Riley-Bug, we had a bug themed party.  And of course no stores carried supplies for this theme.  So, I had to try and get creative.  I made this:

Yep, that's a Riley-Bug!  I tried to make little PB & J sandwiches and cookie cutter them into bug shapes, but the bread was too soft.  Anyways, Riley had a great 1st birthday.  He wasn't feeling too great though since he is getting a bunch of teeth in.

Riley is such an awesome, sweet boy!  He has the biggest, most contagious smile!  He is so smart and catches on pretty easily to whatever he is shown.  He loves to eat, you wouldn't guess by how skinny he is.  But, he eats anything and everything.  He LOVES any fruit/vegetable.  He is not a picky eater at all.  Whatever you put in his mouth he eats.   He is always so happy.  Every time he goes to the doctor, he always comments on how happy and outgoing he is.  He is such a blessing and a joy to have in our family!  I'm so thankful that my Father in Heaven, once again sent me such an amazing child!  Happy Birthday Riley-Bug!  We sure love you lots!
On a side note, Riley had his one year well check.  Perfectly healthy!!

Weight: 18 pounds 13 ounces.  4th %
Height: 31 1/2 inches.  93rd %
He is so tall and skinny!  He just will not gain weight.  He eats and eats....  The doctor isn't worried though.  As long as he is healthy and developing normally, he is fine.
