Riley is one smart little dude! He knows how to follow instructions and does things just seem pretty smart to me! The other day he took the stool out of the bathroom and set it in front of my bed. Then he climbed right on up! He is using his brain! :) He seems so "mature" to me, that I forget that he is still a baby. Just turned one! He also knows how to whistle! I never knew that a one year old could whistle! Crazy!
He responds to questions. I will ask him if he pooped. He nods his head, says yes, grabs his little butt and heads towards the changing table! He tells me if he wants more food and if he likes his food. He has mastered eating with a fork. I will ask him to find me a ball. He will look around. find one and bring it to me. I ask him to throw something in the trash can and he does it. I looked up online when kids usually start following simple instructions and it said around 2 years. I'm not trying to brag, but boy is he smart! He is starting to say more and more words. He knows to raise his arms up so that I can take his shirt off. If I tell him not to do something, he stops right away and does something else. It's amazing! I think he listens better than my 3 and 4 year olds! HAHA! He loves playing peek a boo and hide and seek. He loves playing with cars and balls. He loves to give hugs and kisses. And high fives and blowing kisses. Riley is such a joy to have in our family!
